Kathmandu/November 8, Election Commission (EC) has asked the ABC Television to provide clarification for violating the election Code of Conduct (CoC) within 24 hours on November 8. EC sought clarification from ABC Television after a memorandum was submitted by NC to immediately stop violation of the election CoC by media in different constituencies. Spokesperson of EC Bir Bahadur Rai, in a press meet on November 8, said clarification was sought from the news channel after a complaint was filed against it for broadcasting taking UCPN-M side. EC has again drawn the attention of the poll candidates to limit their expenses on publicity through media under 10 lakhs. The EC has also received complaints against the National Sports Council for distributing the sports materials for UCPN-M in different districts. It also said that complaint on violation of CoC by the UCPN during its Mechi-Mahakali Campaign was received. A complaint has been filed gainst TV Filmy for campaigning for RPP Nepal. EC said it will give details about Monitoring of CoC on Sunday at a press conference. Ramesh Prasad Timilsina ०७० कात्तिक २२ गते, निर्वाचन आयोगले एबिसी टेलिभिजनलाई निर्वाचन आचारसंहिता उल्लङ्घन गरेको भन्दै कात्तिक २२ गते २४ घन्टे स्पष्टिकरण सोधेको छ । नेपाली काङ्ग्रेसले कात्तिक २२ गते विभिन्न सञ्चारमाध्यम र निर्वाचन क्षेत्रमा भएका आचारसंहिता उल्लङ्घनका घटना तत्काल रोक्न ज्ञापनपत्र बुझाएपछि आयोगले एबिसी टेलिभिजनलाई स्पष्टिकरण सोधेको हो । आयोगका प्रवक्ता वीरबहादुर राईले कात्तिक २२ गतेको पत्रकार सम्मेलनमा सो टेलिभिजनले एमाओवादीको पक्षमा समाचार प्रसारण गरेको भनी उजुरी परेकाले स्पष्टीकरण सोधिएको बताए । आयोगमा सञ्चारमाध्यमबाट विज्ञापन गर्दा उम्मेदवार खर्च गर्न पाउने कूल सीमा रू. १० लाखभित्रैबाट गर्न पनि ध्यानाकर्षण गराएको छ । आयोगमा एमाआवादीले मेची महाकाली अभियानका क्रममा पनि आचारसंहिताको पालना नगरेको तथा राष्ट्रिय खेलकुद परिषद्ले विभिन्न जिल्लामा सो पार्टीले लागि खेलकुद सामग्री वितरण गरेर आचारसंहिताको उल्लङ्घन गरेको भनी उजुरी परेको छ । यस्तै आयोगमा टिभी फिल्मीले राष्ट्रिय प्रजातन्त्र पार्टी नेपालको पक्षमा समाचार दिएको भन्ने उजुरी पनि परेको छ । आचारसंहिताको अनुगमनबारे आयोगले आउँदो आइतबारको पत्रकार भेटमा विस्तृत जानकारी दिने भएको छ । रमेशप्रसाद तिमल्सिना
