Rape accused arrested

Police on August 5 arrested 50-year-old Yam Bahadur Gurung of Ichchhyakamana rural municipality-3 on the charge of raping a 33-year-old woman.
According to DSP Eknarayan Koirala of DPO Chitawan, police arrested Gurung after the victim gave an oral complaint against him at DPO Chitawan on August 5, accusing him of raping her on August 1. Police registered a written complaint on the case on August 6.
The victim underwent medical examination following the complaint.
