Taplejung/ November 9 At least six people have been injured when an unidentified group hurled bombs at an election assembly of UML in Khokling of constituency no. 2. Ulangle Rai, 12, and Man Bahadur BK, 45, of Khokling were seriously injured in the explosion, a local and eyewitness Tara Sawa said. They have been rushed to the district hospital for further treatment. The other injured are Nirmala Adhikari, 35, Tulasa Thapa, 70, Renuka Adhikari, 34, and Yogya BK, 36. They are receiving treatment in Khokling sub-health post. Though the group hurled two bombs at the assembly, only one bomb exploded, according to DSP Govinda Prasad Acharya of the District Police Office. The search for the those involved in the incident is underway, said Acharya. The election assembly started despite the explosion. Poll candidate of UML Dambar Dwoj Tumbahamphe, district committee vice-chairperson Ram Subedi and form CA member Om Prakash Ojha addressed the program.
