Two 17-year-old youths who were found dating were first physically assaulted and then forced into a marriage for breaking the 'social norms' in Dhanusha. The spectators recorded the proceedings of the marriage and uploaded the video in the social media, which now has become viral. The teenage victim said that a group of five youths hit them with sticks, boot, and punches; dragged them into the temple; and got them married. The ward head is playing his part to stop the incident from getting into legal tangles. It is illegal to force someone under the age of 20 into a marriage.
