Balkrishna Dhungel, the director of Nepal Balmandir, the organization opened for the protection of children, has been accused of trafficking children outside of the country. Kathmandu Police arrested him claiming that he sold an infant child to a British citizen, Donna Smith, for more than four lakh rupees. Smith was arrested on August 7 while making arrangements for immigration proceedings. District Court has granted Dangol and Smith a three-day extension to investigate human trafficking and trafficking cases.
