Doti/November 11 UCPN-M poll candidate from constituency no. 1 Mohan Bam has been attacked by an unidentified group on November 10 night while returning from election campaign at Tikha of Dipayal Silgadi Municipality-11. The vehicle (Se 1 Ja 606) used by Bam has been totally damaged. He has sustained injury to his head, eye and body while member of Seti Mahakali State Committee Mahadev Khati sustained injury in both eyes. Left hand of teacher from the poll candidate’s school Raj Kumar Malasi has been fractured and UCPN-M cadre Mahadev Joshi sustained injured to his neck. The assailants stopped the vehicle and attacked them with lathi, rods after sprinkling dust in their eyes. The injured are undergoing treatment at District Hospital. According to the poll candidate Bam, some NC cadres were among the assailants. Acting Chairperson of NC Ram Prasad Upadhyaya said that he had no information about the attack. According to District Police Office, search for the perpetrator is ongoing.
