The District Police Office has arrested Rama Kumal, 42, of Lekhnath Municipality-2 on charge of beating Sabita BK, 38, of same place on November 25 for touching her water container. The DPO had arrested the accused on November 26 after the victim filed a complaint at the Dandakonak Police Post the same day. DSP Rajeshnah Bastola said that the accused had been charged under the caste based discrimination and untouchability act. BK received treatment at the Western Regional Hospital.
