Jhapa, balakko hatya gareko aropma ujuri. A complaint has been filed against a man and his second wife at the Area Police Office Birtamod on November 27 on charge of killing their son. Narayan Shrestha, 30, of Buttabari in Shanischare VDC-6 and his second wife Reena Shrestha have been arrested after his first wife Kumari Shrestha filed the complaint accusing them of killing her son Suraj Shrestha, 11. Narayan and Reena had told that Suraj hanged himself to death while they had gone out with their little girl at a local health center on November 25. Though Narayan had taken Suraj to Kanchanjunga Hospital in Birtamod saying that the boy was found hanging, doctors had declared him dead at the hospital. Body of the deceased was take to Mechi Zonal Hospital for post-mortem after local protested his death; however, doctors at the hospital refused to conduct his post-mortem. His post-mortem was conducted later at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan. Inspector Bhuwaneshwor Tiwari said that investigation was ongoing into the incident. He added that facts would be known once the post-mortem report comes out.
