Excavator torched at bridge construction site in Bhojpur

An unidentified group set an excavator on fire at a bridge construction site in Bhojpur district, Tuesday night.
The concrete bridge will connect Behere Dobhan of Taksar in Bhojpur Municipality-12 and Manebhanjyang of Ramprasad Rai Rural Municipality-5 in the district.
According to Bhojpur District Police Office, the unidentified group set the excavator — belonging to Marseli Construction — on fire by splashing petrol over it. The police also indicated that a suspicious object was found near the incident site and that an expert team from the Nepal Army would reach there to carry out an on-site investigation.
The construction of the bridge had started about a week ago with an investment of Rs 65.3 million by the province government.
