On August 29, Tule Kami and his wife Rachana Kami were brutally attacked by an unidentified person with a sharp knife while they were asleep in the home in Raskot Municipality 7, Kalikot district. It was an attempt to murder. There was a deep cut on the neck and ears of the victims. Police have arrested three suspected people for further investigation of the case. 

The victims were later taken to Nepalgunj for treatment as proper assistance were not available in the district hospital.
