Police arrested 24-year-old Nirmala Koiri known as Puja of Pratappur Rural Municipality on a charge of trafficking and smuggling a 33-year-old woman.

The victim filed a complaint at the District Police Office on September 3 saying that the accused sent the victim to Kuwait for foreign employment a year ago and made her stranded.

The victim said she went to Kuwait a year ago and was able to return home with the help of the embassy.

Sai Madhav Prasad Bhandari of the District Police Office said the accused has been arrested and is being investigated according to the complaint filed by the victim.
