Bomb goes off in Birtamod in Jhapa

A bomb was detonated in the newly constructed building of Sahara Nepal Saving and Credit Cooperative Society Limited in Birtamod Municipality-2 on Sunday night. The main gate of the cooperatives, guard room, window panes of the building were damaged due to explosion, said DSP Mohan Thapa of Area Police Office, Anarmani.
Meanwhile, police have arrested two people on suspicion of the explosion. However, nobody has claimed the responsibility for the bombing so far.
Earlier, a bomb had been detonated in the joint office of Birtamod Municipality.
