Jivan Sharma, a student leader of Nepal Communist Party-affiliated student union ANNISU (All Nepal National Independent Student Union), has accused the Independent Student Union chairperson of Dhaulagiri Multiple Campus Baglung, Manish Thapa of physically assaulting him.

According to Sharma, Thapa assaulted him before the principal and teachers of Dhaulagiri Multiple Campus on September 8 during a meeting held to discuss further plans about the Science Faculty of the campus. Sharma stated that, Thapa manhandled him saying that he was not authorized to participate in the meeting. 

Releasing a press statement following the incident, ANNISU Baglung demanded action against Thapa.
