Armed Outfit's Coordinator Arrested

One of the most wanted criminals in the police wish list, Sikandar Ali Sekh Khan, has been arrested in Holiya VDC-9 on November 27 evening. Sikandar, who is also the Banke and Bardiya district in-charge of underground armed group Tarai Janatantrik Party Madhesh (TJM), is wanted for several cases of killings, abduction, extortions and explosions. He was made public at a press conference at District Police Office, Banke on November 28. A police team deployed from Regional Police Office, Surkhet, in coordination with district and zonal police offices, had caught him along with Salim Khan, 35, of Nababgunj Hasanpur in India during a security check while they were coming from Indian side to Nepal on a motorbike, SP Bhupal Kumar Bhandari informed. Police added that Khan has accepted his involvement in the killing of four persons, taking ransom of Rs 2.2m after abducting two and trying to kill them by shooting. According to SP Bhandari, police have also recovered two revolver bullets, a home-made pistol with two bullets, two mobile sets, three mobile sim cards and an unregistered motorcycle from Khan’s possession.
