Sheik Aliyaaskwar, a 40-year-old ward chairperson of Yemunamai rural municipality-3, physically assaulted a 20-year-old local Rupesh Shah of the same ward during a general dispute. The dispute emerged when Shah had visited Sheik's house to get a signature in the waiver for a rental land issue.
The ward chairperson assaulted Shah with slipper before he could completely layout the issue to the ward chairperson, a local said. The victim, on September 10 a complaint against the ward chairperson in Sukdev police center demanding justice.
The irate locals protested in the rural municipality against the incident.
