23-year-old Sandip Yadav, a resident of Chhireshwornath municipality-7 Durgatol has sustained serious injury and lost an eye in an attack by a group led by the ward chairperson of ward 8 of Chhireshwornath municipality.
According to Sudip, a group led by ward chairperson of Chhireshwornath municipality-8 Asheshwor Mahato attacked him while he was returning from his friend's home on June 25.
Yadav who sustained serious injury in the attack was taken to Janakpur hosiptal where doctors found that the lens of his left eye had been damaged beyond repair in the attack.He has also sustained bruises all over the body and also has sustained several injuries on hand and legs.
According to the victims, he was attacked by Ward chairman Asheshwar Mahato, Ranjit Mahato of Jhatiya Ichhapur, Dhanjit and others right after he said he was from Mahendranagar, Durga Tole.
Amar Yadav, victim's father said he wants justice for his son and also said that he was treating his son with financial help from relatives and friends.
Ward chairman Mahato denied being involved in the incident. Mahato also said that the culprit should be prosecuted for investigation and should be punished.
