Office of ward chairperson torched in Kanchanpur

An unidentified group set fire at the office of the ward chairperson of Bhimdutta municipality-19 in Bagphant on Thursday night according to Bagphanta police post.
Documents and furniture belonging to the ward office were burnt in the arson. A 7-point demand pamphlet left by members of Netra Bikram Chand-led group was found at the ward office. Police suspect the group was behind the arson.
The incident of arson was reported to the police only in the morning.
