Woman kills husband in Nawalparasi

A woman killed her husband colluding with a soldier of Nepali Army at Adarshatole of Ramgram Municipality, Nawalparasi.

The woman has been identified as Saraswoti Pokhrel. Pokhrel’s husband Rabindra Prasad Pandey had gone missing on September 4. The incident came to light after Pandey’s body was found in a septic tank of Harisushil Basic School today. Family members had filed a complaint at the district police office to search for missing Pandey. Local women had enquired Pandey’s wife after he went missing.

Police had arrested Pokhrel with support of locals. Police investigation found that she had killed her husband with the support of a Nepal Army soldier stationed at Parasi Barrack.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Thapa, Saraswoti told the police that she and the NA personnel had thrashed her husband to death with a stone after he found out that she was having extra marital affair with the NA man.
