On 28th September, Durgadatta Dhakal, 64, of Korang, a village in Kaligandaki rural municipality-1, died from physical assault. Top Bahadur Sarki, 45, of the same place beat Dhakal to death, police said.
Dhakal was beaten and injured when a dispute broke out between the two on Saturday evening. The injured Dhakal died while being taken to a local health post for treatment, police said. Police have arrested Top Bahadur Sarki at around 1 am on 29th September on the charge of involvement in the murder. Whether the actual reason for the assault was the personal issues or otherwise is yet to be ascertained after further investigation, said police.
