According to District Police Office, Rajbiraj, Gufar Pamariya of Mahadev Rural Municipality-3, Saptari died from the assault of his wife and son.
The 63-year-old Pamariya was beaten by his 50-year-old wife Jumli Khatun and his 20-year-old son Mohammad Rahim Pamariya. He died on the way to Gajendranarayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital in Rajbiraj on Sunday night.
The reason for assault has not been revealed. His wife and son involved in the incident are absconding and police are searching for them.
Police said the body of the deceased has been sent to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, for examination.
