Police arrested three people from Siraha Municipality-9 while they were taking to India a 16-year-old girl they had abducted from Udayapur on October 10. The girl was returning home after being attending fair and cultural program at Durga Mandir in Lahan. A patrol team of police from District Police Office arrested the men along with an Indian number plated (BR 32 P 4262) vehicle they were using.
Among the arrested are 24-year-old Ram Prakash Goit, 36-year-old Ganesh Kumar Yadav and 22-year Chaturananda Yadav. Ram Prakash and Ganesh are the residents of Siraha Municipality-9, while Chaturananda Yadav is the resident of Siraha Municipality-8.
Two other people involved in abduction are absconding, said the police. Police recovered eight rounds of bullet and 300 pieces of Netrobhet tablets from the vehicle used by the abductors.
