Police have arrested 5 persons on the charge of sharp weapon attack at a fair in Baijanath rural municipality of Banke.
Nepalese Army soldier Lokendra Shahi was seriously injured when the group of people attacked him with khukuri on Sunday night at Shiva temple in Bhaurikuna of ward 2 of the rural municipality during a dispute related to eve-teasing.
Police arrested Bishnu Rokaya, Suresh Rana Chhetri, Pushkar Rana Chhetri, Dil Bahadur Rana Chhetri, and Yam Bahadur Rana on the charge of the attack. According to police, Shahi is undergoing treatment at Lakhnau in India. Police are meanwhile, looking for Teju Rokaya, Bishwo Royaka, and Durbu Rokaya who were also involved in the incident.
