A man in Jaljale of Bakaiya rural municipality-3 of Makawanpur district killed a neighbourhood woman during a fight over a personal dispute between them, say police. The deceased’s husband and another person sustained injuries.
Suk Bahadur Pakhrin killed Santa Maya Lo using an axe, according to police.
Seriously injured in the attack, Lo was rushed to Chure Hill Hospital in Hetaunda, but she died there during treatment, informs the District Police Office. The victim had wounds in many parts of her body.
Meanwhile, Lo’s husband Kul Bahadur and another neighbour Diwi Maya Moktan sustained injuries. They are undergoing treatment at the same health facility.
Police have arrested the alleged attacker with his weapon. Further investigation is underway.
