Abducted boy released.

Dharan, apharit balak bharat bata riha. DHARAN, Dec 2: A boy who was kidnapped and whisked away to India from Dharan has been safely rescued. Nepali police team dispatched to India brought back 11-year-old Hritik Sheikh, son of Sharful Sheikh, an Indian scrap metal dealer based in Dharan. Hritik was abducted on Saturday night and his father had registered a case with the police only on Sunday. The police team was able to free the boy from Khorbari in Purniya district in the Indian state of Bihar. However, the Dharan Police informed said that the abductor Atabul Sheikh, also an Indian national, could not be apprehended. “We have succeeded in freeing the child from the kidnapper´s grip in India. But we could not arrest the kidnapper. We will surely arrest him if he enters Nepal again,” Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) , Sanjaya Singh Thapa, informed. A joint team of police officers from Eastern Regional Police Office in Biratnagar and Koshi Zonal Police Office, accompanied by two of the employees of Sharful Sheikh, had left for India to search for the missing child. The police team led by Police Inspector Mukunda Rijal had raided the kidnapper´s house in India in coordination with the Indian security officials from Kasawa Police Post in Purniya. Hritik was found in the house but the kidnaper was not present during the raid.
