More than Dozen Abandoned Bombs Found, Defused

Nepal Army has defused more than a dozen bombs found inside a cave in the jungle at Kalimatikalche3 on February 6. The team from Bhagwati dal Simkharka detonated the bombs which were abandoned in the cave near Madhuban village.

 

Locals had informed police post Rampur on February 5 after finding the bombs inside the cave. DSP of district police office Ram Prakash Shah said that the explosive devices were socket and pipe bombs.

The locals suspect that the bombs might have been left inside the cave by Maoists during the wartime.

INSEC Siraha representative Guru Sharan Sada reports that a bomb disposal team of Shree Nath battalion Choharba barrack of the Nepal army defused a sutali bomb found at a sugarcane field in Fulbariya8. Police said that the group and motive for placing the bomb was not known.<
