KATHMANDU, DEC 03 - CPN-UML candidate from Siraha-5, Lilanath Shrestha, has registered formal complaint against UCPN (M) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the Constituent Assembly court on Tuesday. Shrestha filed complaint alleging that Dahal won from Siraha-5 through booth capture and vote rigging. In his complaint, the UML candidate has submitted the reports from election observers, media news reports and the statistics of vote counting. Organising a press conference in the Capital today, Shrestha claimed that six polling booths from two VDCs were captured, and that the public were barred from casting vote s independently. He added that vote s were cast in favour of Dahal in the captured booths. Shrestha further informed that he had lodged complaint at the Election Commission after booth capture . Saying that vote s were counted in the region without his consent, he reiterated that vote s were rigged in Siraha-5. He remarked that his victory was confirmed if re-election were performed at the polling stations where booths were captured.
