A team of Puspa Kathayet, in-charge of Area Police Office Pachaljharna, assaulted 60-year-old Gajendra Bahadur Bam physically, from which Bam has been injured.
The victim has accused the police of torturing him by tying his hands and beating him with bamboo. Police assaulted the victim for making loud noises in the village. Bam sustained injuries in chest and back and has been taken to Nepalgunj Hospital, said Challi Bam, the victim's wife.
Yakchya Raj Joshi, the Chief Interim Inspector, denied such allegation but assured that the perpetators would be penalized if found guilty.
