The District Court in Saptari has issued an interim protective order to protect the right to life of Ram Kumari Chaudhary, 31, of Mohanpur VDC-1. A single bench of district judge Durga Prasad Dhungel issued the interim order against mistreatment towards her including libel, beating. The court has also issued a notice for the defendant to be present in the court on December 8 for the discussion. The victim had lodged a complaint against her sister-in-law Asho Devi Chaudhary, 35, of same VDC-9 demanding for the interim order for the protection of her right to live. She lodged the complaint demanding a monthly amount of Rs 5,000 be provided from the accused for her living as per the domestic violence (crime and punishment) act 2009. The complaint further states that she was tortured, expelled and murder attempted by the accused. She said that her father Bhilu Chadhary, brother Asarlal Chaudhary and sister-in-law Asha Devi expelled her from home after she filed a case demanding property share on July 30.
