Traders in Dang have protested against the online trading system which was implemented by the government from July 17. They have protested on streets saying that they have been facing problems with the government's decision to implement Venture Capital Trust (VCT).
Traders say that they have to pay hefty taxes due to the online system and therefore cannot upgrade to the online banking system immediately. Accordingly, on Sunday, all the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Dang jointly submitted a memorandum through the District Administration Office demanding the dismissal of VCTS.
The traders have sent a demand letter to the Prime Minister's Office through the Chief District Officer stating that the new provision brought by the government should be rejected immediately.
Chairman of Dang District Industries Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Narayan Prasad Bhusal, warned that all industries will be shut down if the negotiations with the government do not go well.
