In an interaction with the members of the State Management and Good Governance Committee and the Legislative Management Committee under the federal parliament on Thursday, the sexual and gender minorities drew the attention of the parliamentarians on the issues of citizenship, property, surname of their partner in their own name. They also expressed their grief over being evicted from their homes at an early age and society members considering them to be of different characteristics . 

Homosexual woman Apekshya Dahal said she had to leave home at the age of 16 because of her sexuality and hundreds of gay couples are deprived from families.
