Shanti Devi Thakur, 32, of Malekpur VDC-6 has filed a complaint against husband Yogendra Prasad Thakur and famiy members at the District Police Office on December 4. She has accused borther-in-laws Prabhu Narayan, Indra Narayan, their wives Bhular Debi, Kabutari Debi Thakur, nephews Rabin, Devesh, Karn and husband of beating her and expelling her from home. "They beat me after taking me to a nearby pond when I told my husband to work in a hair salon," she said. The victim, who came to the District headquarters with support of a neighbor, is undergoing treatment at the Zonal Hospital in Rajbiraj Municipality-3. Women and Children Service Centre has summoned the accused to the District Police Office.
