Darpi Sah of Saptari Vishnupur Rural Municipality-4 has been arrested on the charge of beating his neighbor.
Police said he was arrested from the village on Sunday. The other accused of the incident are absconding. The group led by Darpi Sah beat neighbor Maheshwar Sah by accusing him of removing hanging bamboo which was planted by Mangal Sah on Saturday evening. Maheshwar had filed complain at Rural Municipality to cut the bamboo which was hanging toward his house. On Saturday with the help of an employee of Rural Municipality and police, they remove the bamboo by cutting them.
According to the complaint filed by Ramesh, the son of injured said that a group including Darpi Sah, Mangal Sha, Baleshwar Sah, Baidyanath Sah, and others attacked Maheshwar in the anger of cutting bamboo. Maheshwar has sustained injuries at the head and nose. Police said injured has been referred to the Golden hospital of Biratnagar from Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital of Rajbiraj.
Other accused involved in the incident are absconding and an investigation is underway, said District Police Office, Saptari.
