42-year-old Kabita Mishra of Rajbiraj Municipality-6 has accused 58-year-old Ram Kumar Yadav, his three sons, his brother and his wife of assaulting her and her daughters alleging her of being a witch on October 30. She lodged a complaint at the District Police Office mentioning that Yadav and his family beat them up by accusing her of a witch. However, the police have not filed the complaint officially even after a week of her complaint, the victim said.
The accused Ram Kumar conceded of the argument between Kabita and him over plucking of the vegetable sapling but denied the claims of physical assault or witch allegations. "We cannot file the complaint because the testimonies are not true," said SP Krishna Prasai.
