Woman assaulted on witchcraft allegation in Baitadi

A woman has been beaten on allegation of witchcraft in Baitadi. Dammar Dhungel and his wife Pabitra Dhungel assaulted their 40-year-old sister-in-law Uttara Dhungel. According to Sher Bahadur Mahara, the brother of the victim, the couple assaulted Uttara on Saturday morning accusing her of practicing witchcraft.
The victim was taken to District Hospital Baitadi on Saturday evening. Ward Chairperson Ramba Bohora of Purchaudi Municipality-9 also attested the incident.
