A person was killed in Kapilbastu on Friday. The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Dhanraj Poudel of Buddhabhumi Municipality-2 Gorusinge. He was found murdered at his home on Friday. Although the incident took place in the afternoon it was discovered only in the evening. 

According to inspector Subash Khadka of Area Police Office Gorusinge, Poudel bore injury on his neck, head, and other parts of the body.  Police discovered Poudel's body at his home during a search for him after they were reported that he had gone missing. Police suspect he might have been killed by using a sharp weapon. Police arrested Poudel's daughter-in-law Laxmi Poudel for investigation into the incident.

The deceased's body was sent to Kapilbastu hospital for post-mortem.
