Police, on December 1, arrested 52-year-old  Bishnu Bahadur Basnet of Basgadhi Municipality-3 on a charge of human trafficking.

The victim filed a complaint at the District Police Office in Bardiya on August 30  against 36-year-old Jokha Khadka of Lwang Municipality-4, Rolpa district and Bishnu Bahadur Basnet saying that the accused had taken her to Kuwait and sold her to Kuwait.

Police arrested Jokhe from Kathmandu on November 24 on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim. Bishnu Bahadur Basnet, who was absconding, was arrested from Bardiya based on Khadka's statement, said SP Rajesh Nath Bastola.
