Police rescued a 3-year-old boy from Chhinamasta Rural Municipality-6, an area bordering India, three hours after abduction on December 8. Police rescued the child, Ghanshyam Sha of Chinnamasta Rural Municipality-7, from the haystack. 

The abductor, who had come in a motorcycle with an unidentified number, abducted the child while his parents were away working in the field. As per the SP Krishna Prasai,  the abductor had absconded after leaving the child in the haystack after heavy deployment of police and strict checking in the border.

The child has been handed over to his parents on December 8.
