Police, on December 10, have made public one Lakpa Wangdi among the two accused in murder after rape of Doma Sherpa of Makalu VDC-7. Lakpa and Phudorchi Sherpa of Makalu VDC-5 had killed Doma after raping her on November 17. Police had arrested Lakpa on November 25 after family of the deceased filed a complaint at the Makalu Police Post on November 20. The accused was charged under murder on November 29. Other accused Phudorchi is still absconding. Body of the deceased was found in a jungle at Makalu VDC-7 on November 24. Post-mortem of the deceased was conducted in Khandbari Hospital.
