No Captured Property Will Be Returned: Peasants' Association

All Nepal Peasants Association, Revolutionary (ANPA-R) has declared that it would not be returning land and houses captured during the armed conflict.

 

Speaking at a press conference in Nepalgunj on November 17, the central committee members of ANPA-R clarified its stand on the issue. It has urged the members not to return the land and to resist if the government uses force.

 

General Secretary of the ANPA-R Nanda Bahadur Budha Magar said the decision to return the land was anti-peasants. He said that it was a betrayal to the landless people if they are not provided with the land, captured during the conflict.

 

Another team member Karna Bahadur BC said the party chairperson was cheating the peasants adding currently there was no party policy to seize land and produce.
