The relatives of 30-year-old Manju Devi Khamga of Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality-8 has accused 35-year-old husband Raj Kumar Khamga of the same municipality of mercilessly beating Maju up on the night of December 13. Ram Kumar Khamga came home intoxicated with alcohol and marijuana and reportedly beat his 11-year-old and 7-year old son as well when they asked him for some food. Manju tried to stop him from beating the children and Ram Kumar hit her with punches and sticks. Manju sustained injuries in her eyes, face and different parts of her body and is undergoing treatment at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital. Raj Kumar is currently absconding.
