BIRGUNJ, DEC 16 - Police have arrested Shiyaram Kushawaha alias Firoj, the prime accused in the murder of then Chairman of Hindu Yuva Sangh Kashi Tiwari , from Chitwan on Monday. Kushawaha is a UCPN (Maoist) cadre who is also in the party's Proportional Representation list. Shiyaram and one Aman Kushawaha allegedly shot Tiwari dead on June 27, 2010 at Ashokbatika in Birgunj Municipality. The district court, 2 years ago, had issued an arrest warrant in the name of Kushawaha on charge of premeditated murder . Kushawaha, who is also a member of UCPN (Maoist) Bhojpura state committee, was nabbed by the crime control unit of Parsa police, acting on a tip off this afternoon. "We will present Kushawaha before the Court after further investigation," said SP Singh. Earlier, the district attorney's office on 2011 had filed a charge-sheet claiming Kushawaha as the one who shot Kashi Tiwari . The office had demanded for life sentence with confiscation of property. A jail term of 10 years was demanded for another accused Aman Kushawaha after his presence at the crime site, with weapons, was proved. The involvement of Shiyaram came into light after the police nabbed Aman Kushawaha on 2011 along with the motorcycle that was used in Tiwari's murder . Aman is currently under custody for further investigation.
