YCL has demanded action against those allegedly involved in attacking its district committee member Gajendra Jabegu, 25, of Yangnam6 on February 7. 

Issuing a press release on February 7, YCL district committee stated that its member and Yangnam VDC coordinator, Gajendra was attacked by a group led Youth Force cadre Machindra Jabegu, 23, of same place with a sharp weapon on February 5.

The release issued by YCL district in-charge Bal Krishna Kafle has asked the YF to make public its view in connection with the incident within two days. The release stated that YCL will launch stringent protest if action was not taken against the guilty and YF publicly apologized for the incident.

The victim stated that YF cadres took control over him and attacked him with a sharp weapon while he had been returning home after attending a program organized by YCL on February 5.

YCL has accused that  Machindra and Kailash Jagebu among others involved in the attack. Yam Bahadur Paudel inspector at District Police Office said that all the accused are at large and search for them is underway.

Though those accused for the case are YF cadres, the incident did not occur due to political belief but it occurred due to family dispute, YF district chairperson Nara Bahadur Gurung said, adding, YCL is trying to politicize a family dispute by issuing the press release.
