Police has arrested Shailendra Barai, computer teacher of Gyandip English Boarding School located at Sammarimai Rural Municipality- 6 Pokharhawa on 5 January for beating his student Mohammad Tophik Dewan, 12, a fifth grader.
He had beaten the child in the computer practical class held on 1 January for being unable to solve text based practical exercise. A complaint was filed against him on 3 January at the Area Police Office, Marchwar.
The teacher had absconded after the incident and was found and arrested from Marchwar said Inspector Poshan Raj Dhakal. The child’s left eye and leg was injured and he was taken to Shree Lumbini Rana Ambika Eye Hospital, Bhairawa on 1 January.
Area Police Office, Marchwar’s Inspector Poshan Raj Dhakal had informed of charging the accused with case of Crime against Children.
