On 26 November, six student leaders of a student organization affiliated to CPN Chand were arrested when they were protesting against the encroachment of the Nepali area by India in Darchula. They were arrested while collecting students from Mahendra Namuna Higher Secondary School, Darchula Multiple College and Chhanna Tingri Kanya Mavi for the protest. The police also seized bags, mobiles, and other materials during the raid at the hotel where the student leaders were staying.
