Makawanpur/December 24 Police have arrested Maina Syangtan of Nayabasti in Churiyamai VDC-2 on December 23 on charge of mistreating Sunita Pariyar, 40, of Hetauda Municipality-9. Syangtan mistreated when Sunita entered inside a shop in order to help her friend to return a gas cylinder while a meeting of the savings group was taking place. According to the victim, Syangtan pulled her hair and verbally abused her for entering inside the shop. Police arrest comes following the complaint registered by the victim. The victim is associated with a Dalit Rights organization. The Dalit rights body has demanding action against the accused condemning the incident through a press release.
