Police on January 26 arrested Muilama Tamang of Gyangfedi Rural Municipality-8 in Nuwakot on Human Trafficking charge. According to police, Lama was caught while he was taking three girls aged 16, 18, and 19 years to India under pretext of taking them to visit Lumbini.

All three girls hail from Nuwakot. After discovering that Lama was preparing to take them to Mumbai in India, the girl's reported him to Area Police Office Lumbini on January 26 with the help of the hotel operator in which they were kept. Police arrested Lama on the basis of the same complaint.

The girls underwent a medical examination at Bhim hospital in Bhairahawa.
