Students of Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) staged a demonstration against the malpractices in Tribhuvan University in Itahari.

Students studying CSIT at Sushma Memorial College of Itahari demonstrated in the college premises. The students who were demonstrating by carrying placards also chanted slogans. They demanded that they should be included in the open examination of the Public Service Commission (PSC), that the college should stop the misuse of scholarships, that the college should reduce the examination fees, and that the college should establish the provision of an educational academic calendar. 

In particular, their demand was that they should be included in the open competition for the positions advertised issued by PSC for various levels of technical posts.
