Police in Dhanusha district of southern Nepal have arrested four members of a family for their alleged involvement in the murder of the fifth family member.
They claim Chinta Mani Paswan (22), a resident of Aurahi rural municipality of the district was recently killed by her husband Anil Kumar (30), the husband’s parents Radha Krishna (55) and Kumala (45), and the husband’s sister Punita (20). Investigations have revealed that a minor quarrel had ensued between the victim and her sister-in-law Punita over the use of a mobile phone, according to police.
Following the quarrel, the family members strangled her but told others that the victim tried to commit suicide and rushed her to the Provincial Hospital in Janakpurdham so that they could avoid any action, informs DSP Rameshwar Karki of the District Police Office.
The suspects have been paraded during a press meet on Monday.
