Chairperson of Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) Subodh Raj Pyakurel has stressed the need for ensuring security of civilians in the country.
Speaking at an interaction organized by INSEC mid regional office on security and justice in the capital on February 10, INSEC Chairperson Pyakurel said that there is need for ensuring security of civilians. Saying that there is lack of morality and accountability, the INSEC Chairperson has pointed out maintaining cooperation between civilians and police working in the sector of security and justice to improve security and justice in the country.
Human rights activist Charan Prasain said civilians cannot feel sense of security and justice until rule of law is ascertained. Conflict analyst Shobhakar Buthathoki was of the view that cooperation of civilians to the police is must for security and justice of the civilians. DIG Parshuram Khatri said security can be improved if investigation system could be improved as per the need of time.
INSEC mid regional coordinator Krishna Gautam had shed light on the objectives of the program which was addressed by HR Alliance chairperson Ganesh BK, COCAP chairperson Bashu Dhakal, Bharat Adhikari of CWIN, Tikaram Pokharel of CVICT, Gopal Shrestha of Patan Appellate Court and Damodar Gautam of Bishwo Hindu Mahasangh and Inter Religious Council expressed their views on the occasion.
The program organized with the cooperation of US Institute of Peace, was attended by legal entrepreneurs, human rights activists, journalists, members of civil society, and representatives of various organizations.
