Killer wife lands in police custody

Kathmandu,premi sanga milera shrimanko hatya. KATHMANDU, JAN 07 - A woman who killed her husband and buried him in a pit has been arrested by police. The Metropolitan Police Crime Investigation Bureau, Hanumandhoka held a press conference and presented the woman, Purna Laxmi Tamang from Matatirtha, and her accomplice, 22-year-old Bishal Tamang, before journalists on Tuesday. The accused duo had killed 60-year-old Sanukaji Tamang, a resident of Matatirtha VDC-6, on January 2, attacking him with a scimitar and stick. They had dumped the body in a pit in the Taksing jungle and covered it with leaves. The victim worked as a labourer while Purna Laxmi, 48, is a housewife. The husband and wife were not in good terms of late as Sanukaji had been abusing and beating Purna Laxmi questioning her fidelity. He had been accusing her of illicit relations with Bishal. Both Purna Laxmi and Bishal have confessed to killing Sanukaji, police said. They had called the police after killing Sanukaji, saying robbers have broken into the house and killed him.
